Team Poison, un gruppo di hacker conosciuti anche per aver violato poco tempo fa alcuni server del Fondo Monetario Internazionale e di research In Motion, ha messo a segno un altro colpo. Grazie ad alcune vulnerabilità che affliggevano alcuni server in seno ai network di istituti come UNDP, OECD, UNICEF e WHO, sarebbero riusciti a penetrare all'interno della rete dell'ONU, trafugando circa 1000 credenziali d'accesso di altrettanti utenti, ovvero user id e password dei loro account di posta elettronica. Alcuni di questi erano persino privi di password o utilizzavano combinazioni molto elementari. Il frutto del loro bottino è stato postato sul sito di Pastebin.
Come si legge nel documento, Team Poison si è scagliato contro l'ONU perché lo accusa di essere un'istituzione corrotta, di essere la faccia istituzionale della NATO, della quale ha legittimato le azioni spinte dalle idee capitaliste di chi la guida:
